Indeed, anything you feel you need to discuss is welcome in our space together, which is founded on the positive therapeutic relationship and the belief that insight and self-exploration are available to all of us.
I spent such a long time in my own life trying to understand my urges and ideas. In identifying and then accepting these parts, I was able to become much more in control of my own life, behaviors, and feelings - and gain much more of a purchase on my own positive development.
Voices of reason, chaos, and earlier versions of ourselves help us understand ourselves better, make better decisions, and see things from other perspectives. With the models of Gestalt therapy and Internal Family Systems, I help clients understand their reactions to bad events or negative people, and how to overcome those reactions. We can become stronger individuals and more complete people.
I have experiences in many different areas of counseling and life: sports, academia, substance use, personality disorders, the search for identity, depression, anxiety. I also use some dialectical behavior therapy, as needed, to bring awareness to balance and mindfulness.
