Biography | Eloise M. King, LPC
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapy for adults and young adults seeking help with anxiety treatment, depression counseling, trauma recovery therapy, stress management, and life transitions support.
I use a trauma‑informed approach—which means I recognize the impact of past experiences and prioritize emotional safety—alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and change unhelpful thought patterns. I also incorporate mindfulness‑based strategies to reduce stress and increase present‑moment awareness, and an eclectic approach that draws from multiple evidence‑based methods to fit each client’s needs. I work with individuals facing burnout, grief, relationship concerns, and other personal challenges.
For those seeking a trusted therapist of color with shared lived experiences, I provide culturally unique mental health awareness with sensitivity to the relevant stressors and traumas faced by African Americans, the black community and the marginalized.
For clients who desire it, I offer faith‑based or Christian counseling, incorporating Christian principles and Scripture when requested, and providing a counseling space that can include prayer and biblical encouragement for those who want it.
I’m here to help you find clarity, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
My practice is fully virtual, offering flexible, accessible online counseling that meets you wherever you are—emotionally, spiritually, and geographically.
